Uncomfortable during prayer

The other day I was at an event that included prayer before a meal. The prayer was introduced by, among other phrases, a mention of thank fullness for living in a country where we are free to pray.  During the prayer for a blessing of the meal, thanks were returned for, in addition to the meal, living in a land where “we are allowed to repay.”

There are many reasons I am thankful for living where I live. One of the is religious freedom. On the other hand, I would be a person of prayer whether I lived in a land where it was allowed or not. Wouldn’t you?
